Exercise and Training

Home » Obesity Surgery » Patient Support » Exercises and Training

Maintaining your weight loss also depends on regular exercise and physical training activities. Depending on the procedure, patients often follow an exercise routine prescribed by the bariatric surgery team.

Light exercise, such as walking for a short period of time a day should become a routine immediately after the surgery. Exercise routines that are vigorous will be gradually introduced after some time, usually 6-8 weeks.

Exercise is important to help you feel well and keep you energized. It also helps burn fat and calories to help you get closer to achieving your ideal body weight.
